Jewelry Care

GENERAL CARE

Keep dry. Metal and natural beads (especially matte) are affected by moisture as well as sweat, chemicals in soaps and swimming pools. Take your jewelry when you swim, bathe, shower or exercise.

  • Store it in a safe place. We suggest a cloth pouch, box or plastic bag to prevent tarnish.

  • Clean occasionally. Use a jewelry polish cloth.

  • Chains. Our gold-filled and tarnish-resistant chains will maintain integrity based on exposure to chemicals and moisture. Do not polish any of our gold-filled, Perfect Curb-style necklaces and Thick Curb-style bracelets, as they are polished and sealed. Our vintage-style brass chains (e.g., Figaro, warm brass chain, etc.) will age with an intended patina. To return your raw brass pieces to their original state, use polish with a cloth.

SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS

  • White Beads. Think of them as white t-shirts, especially the matte ones. These are natural beads that will change over time.

  • Brass Beads: Some of our aged brass beads may “rub” off onto other beads (especially those that are raw or matte).
